"As a child I discovered the magic of drawing. It was my way of expressing myself. Over the years I developed my own style, a mix of fantasy and reality."

Follow your heart
Growing up in an Armenian family that is proud of its culture, I have always felt a deep connection to the stories and traditions that shape our identity. Armenia has a long history of art and craft, with symbolism and spirituality playing a significant role. These influences are woven into my work, which often revolves around themes of identity, home, and the human experience. Through my art, I not only offer a glimpse into my own perspective, but I also honor the people and traditions that shape my world. Every brushstroke, color choice, and detail carries something of my cultural background, which I see as a constant source of inspiration.

The Art of Self-Development
I am self-taught. Everything I know about art and technique, I learned by experimenting and creating. That self-education taught me to think outside the box and find my own way in the art world. The path of being self-taught is one of curiosity, courage and dedication. It means learning by doing, by making mistakes and learning from them. My style emerged from this process of self-discovery and self-expression. The freedom of self-taught gave me the space to experiment without limitations, to explore techniques and to grow on my own terms.

A mix of fantasy and reality
My art style combines realism with fantasy, a reflection of my view of the world. I am fascinated by the way realistic details can pull us into the moment, while elements of fantasy transport us to other worlds. Each work tells a story that is both personal and universal. Through my art, I try to invite my viewers to look beyond the surface and dig deeper into the story before them. This sometimes means using symbols that are not immediately recognizable, but hold a deeper meaning for those who are willing to discover them.

Realistic portraits
The artwork "Balloon girl red" focuses on the transience of beauty. The image is characterized by a balloon, a symbol of transience, which deflates with a simple prick of a needle. This concept compellingly illustrates how fleeting and fragile beauty can be.
The passionate red background serves as a contrast and makes the face pale. This once again emphasizes the temporary nature of our external attractiveness. The artwork challenges us to think about the value we place on physical beauty and how quickly this can fade.
Using powerful symbolism and expressive colors, "Balloon girl red" touches the viewer and makes them think. It reminds us that true beauty comes from within and is not dependent on external features that can fade.
This artwork is an inspiring reminder to enjoy the moment, appreciate who we are, and not become obsessed with fleeting beauty standards.

The influence of Armenia and culture
My Armenian heritage plays an important role in my work. Armenia is a country with a rich history and culture, and I am proud to incorporate this heritage into my work. The complexity of Armenian culture, with its combination of joy, sadness, strength and vulnerability, inspires me to tell stories that go beyond words. Every piece I create carries a part of this history. In the delicate details and symbolism of my work, I try to express the depth and diversity of my background. Armenian culture is strongly rooted in preserving traditions and symbols, and I see it as my duty to continue these traditions through my art.

Art as an expression of identity
Identity is a complex theme that I explore again and again in my work. My art gives me the freedom to explore and express my own identity, not only as an individual, but also as part of a community and culture. I see identity as something that is constantly evolving, just like art. By working with themes such as migration, home and memory, I try to create a dialogue between my personal experiences and the universal questions that we all face. My work is not only a reflection of who I am, but also an invitation for the viewer to reflect on their own identity.

Future ambitions
My ambition as an artist is to continue developing my work and sharing my story with a wider audience. I see my art as a way to create connections between people from different backgrounds, and I hope that my work inspires others to think about their own story. I am determined to continue refining my art, learning new techniques and continuing to push my own boundaries. My goal is to make a lasting contribution to the art world, by creating art that is both visually appealing and meaningful on a deeper level.
